How does the consumer comprehend colour and how does this affect what they buy?

Introduction into the colour market

In the creative industry, colour pallets change year to year to say what is in fashion. from clothing to interior decor, we as consumers are shown new colour combinations to wear or use within our homes. but as the new season's colours come in last season's colours go out and that perfect Cerulean blue dress you found is no longer in fashion or sold in any shop and for the people that think there not part of the fashion trends you are. forecasters and designer are looking at what you like, what your buying and where your going.

So how does this affect what is in store? how do you make the trends change? colour forecasting is done so you get you new colour for each season and big company look at the colours that have been forecast, for the up coming year to decide what you will want to buy. but how can they make these choices up to three year in advance. this is what I am hoping to explain in me upcoming blogs.

my blogs will be on colour psychology, colour forecasting, a case study of All Saints clothing store and then there will have a blog to sum up what has been found out.

though this I hope that I will be able to inform you about how colour affects you as a consumer and how this then is conveyed in to the store in the form of clothing that you buy.
